Alyson Kuntz-Butler CPM, LM

As the daughter of a midwife, Alyson has had the opportunity to birth throughout her life including the birth of her younger siblings and some cousins.  She began her training at Casa de Nacimiento in 1990, after she received her license in 1992 she began her residency.  Since then she has been working as a staff midwife and clinical instructor.  Alyson started a small home birth practice in 1995.  Then in 2002 started Advancing Arts In Midwifery after being prompted by a friend (previous Casa intern) to travel and do workshops for other midwives and apprentices.

Alyson is a highly experienced midwife with over 2000 birth attended as the primary midwife and has helped train over 225 student midwives.  She maintains midwifery licenses in Texas and New Mexico and is also a certified Professional Midwife.

Alyson is married and has two beautiful daughters Kegan and Lily both born at home.
